28 on 25th.

Today I turn 28. This will surely be a memorable birthday because I got sick 😦 Since two days ago I had some sort of food poisoning (plus the never ending cough is still here).

Being sick means I stayed home all day. I also had to miss my big family celebration (remember my previous post about Christmas tradition?) last night because I could barely get out of bed.

Thankfully, I’m getting better now πŸ™‚ All the meds are starting to kick in and I feel like I have more energy. I consider this as birthday miracle considering how weak I was yesterday.

So, what did I do today?

I spent the morning Facetime-ing with my boyfriend. It’s not the 25th yet in where he lives but he’s celebrating with me already! Hopefully we can celebrate special occasions together, side by side, next year onwards πŸ™‚ Then on the afternoon my grandmother (she’s 84!) along with my aunt, uncle, and cousin from my dad’s side came to my house and we had a humble Pizza Hut lunch. My aunt made us a very delicious lasagna which complements the Pizza very well. As for me, I managed to have a bite of the lasagna without my stomach acting up (yay!), but I still ate boiled potato (with no seasonings), just to be safe. I wish I could eat the Pizza though.. Hehe.

Today I feel so blessed to get many warm wishes from my family and friends, but most importantly, I feel blessed for the past 27 years of my life. Thank You God for that.

To close this post, I’m wishing everyone who celebrate a blessed Christmas and happy holidays for all of us. Be blessed, be merry, take care!

Until next post,
Christa
