What I’ve been Listening to This May

Around this time last year I posted this post in which I shared a list of newly released music that I was excited about. Well lately I’ve been discovering a lot of new releases from my favorite artists as well and it got me thinking, perhaps May is the time to release new music?

Without further ado, here’s a list of my current newly released favorites:

Drake – One Dance

This song is taken from his latest album – Views which I also really like. I know a lot call him emo because of his lyrics and stuff, but I’ve always been a fan and I’ve been playing this album, well.. particularly this song, on repeat lately.

Justin Timberlake – Can’t Stop The Feeling

JT is backk!! Yay!! I was so excited when I first heard that he has a single coming up. A bit disappointed when I know this single is for a movie soundtrack.. but anyway, a new song from JT is always a good idea! #bigfan. Btw don’t you think this song brings so much positivity? 😀 I think it will be this year’s summer hit.

Local Natives – Past Lives

Another one that gets me excited. I am lucky that I got a chance to see them in LA’s Greek Theatre back in 2013. The show is definitely in my memorable concerts list. Their live performance was great and the venue was magical (we don’t have anything like it in Indonesia).. plus it was my first concert with R 🙂 So, Local Natives is a bit special for me and I do hope I can see them again when they’re doing a tour for this upcoming album.

Young The Giant – Amerika
Radiohead – Burn The Witch
James Blake – I need A Forest Fire
The Temper Trap – Fall Together

Hmm at first I wanted to write an explanation for each songs but then I feel like it’s going to be repetitive. Bottom line is I’m currently loving the songs, hehehe. Oh btw, I’m putting a Spotify playlist for you 🙂 Click it, have a listen, and tell me what you think!

So, how’s your May so far? I am in such good mood this month because me and R have set a date for our next meeting! YAYYYY 🙂 it will happen in the next couple of months, and I’m so excited for it. Fingers crossed everything will work as planned! Also can you please send us your positive thoughts, pretty please? 🙂

Enjoy your weekend and have a good week ahead! Thanks for reading ❤
