Long Holiday

Hello from the comfort of my bed! 😀

I’ve been having a long holiday which started last Saturday and will end next Sunday. Haha yes you read it right – it’s a 9 days holiday. Our office is close for 5 days for the Ied celebration and plus the 4 days weekend.. so yeah it’s a 9 days holiday in total! Sadly, I don’t travel anywhere because I will be celebrating Ied for two days tomorrow with family and they’re all based in Jakarta. Plus, I also need to be patient as my next holiday are scheduled in September and I have to save up 🙂

So what have I been doing on this holiday?

To be honest I’ve been sleeping a lot. I’ve been feeling veryyyy tired lately, work has not been a walk in the park and I’ve been feeling stressed as well. So I take this holiday as a time to recharge. I am trying to release the tension by relaxing at home, just lazily browsing for new music and progressing on my readings. So far so good!

On Friday I went to the movies with my mum and little brother after work – we watched Independence Day: Resurgence at a nearby mall. The movie was entertaining, I mean I always like those kind of movies and I’m easy to please, so I like it, which is a contrary to popular belief.

After spending the day relaxing at home, on Saturday I had Iftar with my family and then met my friends later that night. We met in SCBD area to try a newly opened Chinese restaurant/bar called Asiatale in Jl.Suryo. We already had a good time because it’s been a while since we last hang out, the place was nice and food was delicious (not the best Chinese food but way better than most flashy restaurants in SCBD area!), but we were so surprised when suddenly Mike’s came to play! Mike’s is a Jakarta – based alternative rock band who is best known for their 90s songs covers. They’re an all time favorite for us Jakartans and seriously we all love Mike’s as they always light up the mood of the room whenever they play. I think I might just become a regular there every Saturday nights 🙂

Again I spent Sunday just relaxing at home and binge-watch TV series. I re-watched Heroes and also started to watch Scream. Btw just want to ask if any of you are not following Game of Thrones? Hahaha I don’t!! and I feel lost… :p should I start to watch it now, just in time before season 7 starts? :)))))

As for my Monday, well, well. In contrary to a laid back   lazy weekend I was very productive yesterday! I started to use Carousell app and decided to sell my old books and clothes. Guess what, in less than 24 hours I’ve managed to sell 4 books already! So I spent the morning packing the books that will be sent after Ied. I will write more about Carousell after more time using the app, any of you use it as well?

Then I met a friend of mine to pick up my Ied hampers. My friend and his husband runs Garam Gula Eatery – a Bogor based eatery and they bake the most scrumptious Brioches ever! Afterwards, I delivered the hampers to R’s family, my family, and my mum’s friends. Busy, busy! Hehehe. I ended the day meeting my mum and brother for iftar in Pondok Indah Mall which was crazy packed! Lucky we could still score a table in a restaurant!

So that’s what I’ve been doing the past 3 days. Not that eventful, I know. But I’m still happy because I got to relax and I still have more days of holiday hohohoho… 😀
