As you might know already, I love music. I’m a self-proclaimed music enthusiast and music is a big part of my daily life. So it’s only normal if I’ve been spending more time than I should to carefully curate the songs that I will play on my wedding day…. right? 😀
I mean I have created several playlists to be played on the day, one to be played as soon as I woke up, to accompany me getting ready, during make up, and all that. There’s also another one for my akad nikah event, and of course, one to be played during the reception.
But I still don’t have a song for our entrance and first dance… yet! Hmmm this is a tricky one. Both R and I love music, so we both have a strong opinion towards the song choice. And we can’t seem to make up our minds when it comes to choosing “the song”! Hahaha. R once said he wanted to have a Frank Ocean song as a first dance song, but then he changed his mind to a classic Elvis Presley song. Me? I’m still torn between too many choices! 😀
I know, I know, I might be exaggerating over something that most brides tend to overlook, but I just don’t want to play a song that sends a weird message to the party. Like I have to admit that Bruno Mars’ ‘Versace on the floor’ is a good song, it has a groovy 90s vibe which I can dance to. But if you listen to it more carefully the song is about undressing someone! I think I will just play it on a private moment, thank you very much :))))))
Well maybe it’s just me. Now, what about you? If it were for your wedding, would you spend a careful amount of time to curate the songs to be played, or would you just settle for any popular songs about love?
P.S: I still have tons to prepare! I need to make up my mind about this whole song choice very soon! 😀
P.P.S: I love the new Sam Smith song! Have been playing it non-stop since it was released. What do you think about it?
