All for The ‘Gram

R finished work early yesterday and we had to go to a relative’s house in the afternoon. The house is located in Huntington Beach, approximately 15 minutes away from where we live. Though I’ve been to Huntington Beach many times, I actually have never been to the part where the house is located, near Huntington Harbour. It’s a nice area, full of nice houses and the sight of yachts.

Anyway, it was still close to 5 PM when we left our relative’s house and we figured out we didn’t want to come home just yet. There’s a small shopping center in the area and we went to see the shops. Although small, the place is nice and has some pretty spots. I immediately took my phone out and snapped some pictures. Unexpectedly, R told me to pose and offered to take pictures of me. At first I was hesitant because I feel like I’m always awkward whenever I pose by myself… but I decided to do it anyway. Well, surprise, surprise, the first shot turned out to be nice so I told him to take some more.. hahaha.

It took him more than 10 shots until I finally became satisfied and found that one picture that I thought “Instagram-worthy”. By then he was already almost irritated because he thought all pictures were the same! :))))

Come on, how could he say all pictures were the same when my eyes were closed in some, and my hair was covering half of my face in some?! Oh poor R.. so clueless!

(Btw, the third picture is the one I ended up posting on Instagram.. :P).

Speaking of Instagram, I have been documenting my first year in the US through a photo series. Basically, I will be uploading one picture a day for 365 days and I can’t believe it’s already day 175! Time flies! I’m excited about this project and can’t wait to reflect back on my journey once the 365 days have passed.

So tell me, do you have an Instagram Husband/Partner yourself? How are they holding up? 😛

  1. Hahaha, Photography 101 Chris, a rule of thumb is to take at least seven shots for one “photo” as usually only one of those seven would turn out to be good, lol 😆 . Bless the digital technology nowadays which allows this! 😀

    1. Hahaha how come I never heard of that rule before 😛 I should tell R this, so next time he wont complain when I ask him to take more than 1 shots! hahahaha…

  2. Karena ga punya IG, jadi pepotoannya disimpan atau kalau lagi pengen nampil, taruh di blog😁 Suamiku tuh seneng banget motoin aku. Diulang2 sampai dapat hasil yang bagus. Masalahnya aku yg ga terlalu seneng difoto.

Haha suamiku suka moto istri cuma males main sosmed…jadi buat pribadi saja…

    1. Hehehehe itu 1 diantara seribu kayaknya, aku jarang banget merasa foto sendiri bagus, selalu merasa salah tingkah dan canggung sendiri gayanya….

  4. Matt gak pernah nawarin foto haha. Kalau dia aku foto pun suka gak mau. Kalau lagi jalan2 jadi sebel karena foto yg ada kitanya dikit bgt haha. Aku suka foto kamu yg matanya terpejam itu 👍🏼

    1. I use Instagram more than other social media nowadays.. but that’s after I successfully clean my following, no more gossip accounts, all pretty pictures for the eyes hehehe
