About

Hello! Welcome to my blog πŸ™‚

My name is Christa.

I am Indonesian, born and raised in Jakarta – Indonesia and have spent most of my life in this city. I left the city twice; to Caracas – Venezuela when I was a kid because of my father’s workΒ and to Bournemouth – England in 2009 forΒ graduate study. I came back to Jakarta in 2010, lived there for a good 7 years before I started another journey on the West Coast of the US. I now live in Southern California, just about 40 minutes out of Los Angeles with the love of my life.

I love to travel and meet people. I also love to write (obviously :p), enjoy listening to good music, reading nice books, trying out different kinds of food (but not the spicy ones!), and taking a long walk by the beach whenever I can.

About this blog

I started blogging during my high school days with the help of Pitas.com, then moved here during my college and grad school days. It has been an on-off kind of thing, but I finally decided to blog more seriously and started this blog in 2014.

Christa Bercerita simply means “Christa tells a story” in English. Here I will share stories about life –Β my thoughts, daily life, things I like, relationships, and travel journeys.

Although IΒ am not a native speaker, most posts in this blog are written in English, except for the ones published on Tuesdays. It’s the time where I publish Bahasa Indonesia posts under “Selasa Indonesia” category.

Sometimes I work with various brands/organisations in writing a blog post, and you canΒ find them under “Partnership” category. However, all opinions are always my own and I always chose brands/organisations that are in-line with my values πŸ™‚

Anyway, I hope you’ll find this blog enjoyable to read. Happy to exchange stories with you! πŸ™‚
